The Arts are a way of expression for the Students of Sacred Heart. The students are able to experience fun learning experiences in Art, Dance and Music delivered by experts in their field. Mrs Sally Puckeridge is our Art teacher, Miss Jess Dunn is our dance teacher, we have a school band, and teachers from the Conservatorium of Music take one-on-one private lessons .
Students will also experience performances by local and visiting school bands, as well as professional orchestras, and will experience cultural dances via visiting professionals.
The Arts allows students to gather data through all senses, think flexibly and to create, imagine and innovate.
"Imagination is more important than knowledge. Knowledge is limited, imagination encircles the world."

ArtArt is completed on a rotational basis in all classes. Mrs Puckeridge teaches skills in the many forms of art, including sculpture, drawing, print making, painting and clay. We have our own kiln to fire our clay sculptures, and we have had the Sacred Heart Archie's, where a competition was held for the portrait drawing of the teachers.

DanceDance is completed in K - 6 as a subject when our teachers have professional planning time. Students learn jazz and hip-hop, and integrated into the curriculum for the other classes. These skills have been put to good use in eisteddfods and dance competitions.

MusicSacred Heart has its own school band which students in year 3-6 are able to participate in. Music lessons are available at Sacred Heart through the Wagga Wagga Conservatorium of Music. All woodwind, brass and percussion instruments are able to be learnt on our school premises. Students are also able to be a part of the combined primary school band (KIPS), and are exposed to professional musicians via the A3 music and Musica Viva programs.
