Principal's Message
Welcome to Sacred Heart School. It is a pleasure to have the opportunity to invite you to learn a little about our school as you view the information on our school website.
Being a Catholic School everything we do is modelled on the mission and message of Jesus. In this community each person is valued and experiences a sense of belonging. Faith in God is nurtured through lived experiences, teaching, prayer and liturgical celebrations. Students come to know a God who loves them and understand the message of Jesus as a way to live a life of love, justice and hope.
Every day I am inspired by the work of our teachers and staff who provide quality learning for all learners enabling them to have the competencies and skills that they need for their future. Through our teaching and learning program students are enabled to collaborate, to be problem solvers, to manager their impulsivity, to take responsible risks, to persist, to think creatively, listen with understanding and empathy and to apply prior knowledge to new situations.
Our strong focus on wellbeing means that students are taught strategies and skills that enable them to grow in resilience, to be respectful, to form quality friendships, to be confident, to show empathy and be accepting of difference.
Staff work collaboratively to ensure sharing of expertise to enable quality teaching and learning programs to be delivered to students.
Sacred Heart is a school of quality learning, care, service and faith as all strive to live our motto, ‘to love is to serve’. Daily efforts are made to ensure that each student is happy and feels safe. Any issues that arise are addressed as soon as possible by the class teacher, Assistant Principal or myself.
We work with our parent community drawing on their ideas, expertise and time to help us make Sacred Heart a welcoming family for all who are part of it.
Enjoy learning about our school. Should you have any questions please don’t hesitate to contact our school office on 69226900.
