Inquiry Learning

A description of our approach to Inquiry is best summed up by 'Hands on Consultancy'.

As human beings we are biologically designed to seek to make sense of the world. Inquiry is  fundamental to helping us build our theories about the world. Developing our students as inquirers is our key goal.

Inquirers are those who search for, question, investigate, construct and who are curious.

To foster inquiry and a lifelong love of learning we must:
  • Engage learners in meaningful research
  • Explicitly teach investigative and research skills
  • Focus on rich questions
  • Use powerful questions to guide inquiry
  • Encourage students to explore questions
  • Use error as a learning experience

Keeping inquiry in students hearts and minds is essential.
