A little about ourselves
Sacred Heart Catholic School strives to challenge, nurture, and support students and their families in their Religious development, so they have the capacity to serve one another and the wider community in faith and love.
The Religious Education program at Sacred Heart is a way of spreading our faith through classroom lessons, School Masses, Sunday night Parish Masses, Class Masses, Liturgies, and prayer and reflection.
The children receive the Sacraments of Reconciliation, Holy Communion and Confirmation during their primary school years. The Sacraments of Reconciliation, First Holy Communion and Confirmation will be completed in the following years:
We welcome children from other faiths. Non-Catholic children participate in all aspects of Sacred Heart School life including classroom lessons, Sacramental Programs and school religious celebrations. We aim to engender within each person, a deep respect for themselves and for others as all life comes from God.
As part of our evangelisation and community involvement, students are active participants in a variety of activities to help and support local, national and international charities.
Prayer is an integral part of the life of the Sacred Heart community. Through school and classroom prayer, we join as a community in prayer. Teachers pray with the children daily and endeavour to lead their students in a prayerful attitude.
